About me

Mr Moawad is currently a Consultant Vascular Surgeon at St George's University Hospital after previously having been the Specialty Clinical Lead for Vascular Surgery for Ashford and St Peter's NHS Trust.He is an Educational Supervisor, Clinical Supervisor and Appraiser.

Magdy's excellence extends beyond 2022, as he was also bestowed with the ghp Private Healthcare Award for 'Consultant Vascular Surgeon of the Year 2021' in the UK.

Mr. Moawad has a Masters degree in general surgery and gained his FRCS (Ed) in 1999. He also attained CCST and FRCS (Gen.Surg) in vascular surgery in 2009. Overall, Mr. Moawad's educational and professional journey reflects a high level of expertise and a commitment to staying at the forefront of his field.

Magdy has advanced training in vascular and endovascular surgery and has worked in many eminent Regional Vascular and Endovascular Units such as St. Thomas', St. George's and Royal Free hospitals in London. By working in these eminent medical centers, Magdy has had the opportunity to collaborate with professionals, engage in varied surgical methodologies, and stay abreast of the latest advancements in vascular and endovascular surgery. This rich and diverse experience contributes significantly to Magdy's ability to provide comprehensive and high-quality care, showcasing his commitment to staying at the forefront of his field.

Throughout his clinical career he has been involved in both formal and informal teaching of both undergraduates and postgraduate doctors from different Universities and is very keen to play a role in surgical training.

Mr. Moawad is an examiner at the Imperial College in London and he is also a member of the interviewing panel of potential medical students (MB BS) at St George's University of London.

Finally, he enjoys playing music and has artistic talent that has been reflected on in his work.
