About me

I am a Consultant General Adult Psychiatrist. I am GMC Registered and Member of Royal College of Psychiatrists UK. I have approximately 30years of experience of working in Psychiatry. I have been working for more than 15years in the NHS as a Consultant Psychiatrist in Acute Care (Psychiatric Intensive Care). I have substantial experience of assessing and treating full range of psychiatric conditions in adult psychiatry.
My specialisms are
ADHD assessments and prescribing,
Anxiety disorders,
Mood disorders (including bipolar affective disorders),
Psychotic disorders including schizophrenia
Trauma related disorders including diagnosing and treating post traumatic stress disorder.
I have significant experience of assessing and treating admitted patients in Psychiatry.
I have significant experience of delivering psychiatric teaching and training including teaching medical students. I have the Royal College Tutor role as well for organising, coordinating and delivering core Psychiaric training to the Psychiatric Trainees.
