About me

My Career in psychology spans more than twenty years. I currently work in private practice in Benfleet, Essex and since the start of the Covid Pandemic I have also been offering remote sessions via Zoom. I have worked in the private sector for The Priory Group where I specialised in CBT and I have worked in various mental health settings in the NHS including severe and enduring mental health services, community mental health services, older adult services and Learning disability and mental health services.

I established a private practice in 2006 which provides assessment and treatment tailored to individuals’ needs. My work involves helping people to overcome emotional and psychosocial difficulties, counselling through difficult periods in their life, personal exploration and development, medico-legal work.

Areas of interest

I am a HCPC Registered & BPS Chartered counselling psychologist with an MSc sport psychology; I am an Accredited EMDR Practitioner and I practice Intergrative Therapy, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). I have also trained in Prolonged Exposure Therapy for PTSD, and Clinical Hypnosis. I work with a range of emotional and mental health difficulties including Depression; Anxiety disorders; Phobias; Panic attacks; Trauma; PTSD; Bereavement; OCD; Self esteem; Stress and Self Harm.
