About me
Tim Williams is a Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon and subspecialist in conditions affecting the Foot and Ankle.
He is a full time Practitioner licensed to practice since 2011.
His specialism covers foot and ankle injuries through sports and work whether chronic or acute. Ankle Instability and running pains are a particular interest developed through his work with the Parachute regiment at Colchester Garrison.
This has also meant he has become an experienced arthroscopist using this keyhole surgery technique whenever possible in surgery.
He also deals regularly with forefoot pain and deformity working with the disability and awkwardness of bunions, claw toes and chronic callus as a result.
His NHS work and training over 2 decades also brings the skills of dealing with general trauma, sports or work injuries.
Arthritic conditions or chronic pain and deformity be it wear and tear or through Diabetes or other neurological problems can also be consulted.
Mr.Williams training and experience in Surgery and Orthopaedics saw him working with teams around Cambridge and London before a subspecialist fellowship at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore (2010-2011).
He works closely with Biomechanic, Podiatric and Physiotherapy colleagues. He also has a close working relationship with local Musculoskeletal radiologists.
He is a full member of the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (BOFAS) and has been elected to its education committee, leading teaching of the next generation of surgeons. 2019 saw this expand to include teaching in East Africa working with their surgeons of the future.
