About me

Enrico Flossmann, DPhil, FRCP is a Consultant Neurologist at the Spire Dunedin Hospital, Royal Berkshire Hospital and Oxford University Hospitals | Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer, Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences and Senior Clinical Research Fellow in Neurovascular Disease, Oxford Centre for Prevention of Stroke and Dementia, University of Oxford

He qualified in medicine from the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena/Germany in 1997. He also spent time at St George's Hospital Medical School London/England, McGill University Montreal/Canada, University of Chicago/USA, Mt. Sinai Hospital New York/USA, and Keio University Tokyo/Japan. He did his general professional training in London and his neurological training in Oxford. He was a fellow at the Stroke Prevention Research Unit in Oxford, where he completed his Doctoral Thesis.

He sees patients with all general neurological conditions and carries out nerve conduction studies for carpal tunnel syndrome. He has a special interest in stroke and vascular neurology. He is the clinical lead for the acute stroke service and stroke thrombolysis at the Royal Berkshire Hospital.
