About me
Mr Graham Walsh trained at the prestigious University College Medical School in London before moving back to his native Yorkshire to carry out his surgical training. He carried out both his basic and higher surgical training on the Leeds rotation, working with many of the region’s best orthopaedic trainers. His training led him to develop a strong interest in Knee Surgery and he went on to complete a fellowship in Knee Surgery in York, where he developed a specialist interest in knee solutions for young patients with arthritis.
In 2009 he was appointed a Consultant Knee surgeon at Calderdale and Huddersfield Foundation Trust with a specialist interest in Revision Knee Surgery. Mr Walsh is able to offer all aspects of knee surgery including Knee replacement, Revision Surgery, Arthroscopy and Sports injury treatments. He also offers solutions for knee instability.
His main interests lie in the tailored treatments of arthritis in both the younger and older patients.
Mr Walsh offers a comprehensive treatment regime for knee arthritis including both operative and non-operative options.
Mr Walsh offers a range of non-operative options including injections designed to delay the need for joint replacement. He regularly runs a course in Sweden teaching other surgeons how to manage early arthritis using injection therapy.
Operatively he offers all options for joint replacement including Total knee replacements, Partial knee replacements, Custom fit knee replacements and the high functioning knee replacement, The Attune.
He also offers a comprehensive revision knee practice and is one of the few surgeons in the UK who is able to offer the latest revision implant, the Attune revision system.
Mr Walsh has also pioneered Day Case knee replacement surgery and is able to offer this to selected clients. He has received Awards for this work and regularly speaks at conferences about this new technique.
