About me
Dr Oliver Segal is a Cardiologist specialising in cardiac electrophysiology, the treatment of abnormal heart rhythms. He is a Consultant Cardiologist and Lead for Arrhythmia at University College London Hospital (UCLH) and a Consultant at Barts Heart Centre, St. Bartholomew's Hospital where he operates on the NHS. He sees patients privately at The Harley Street Clinic, with all types of arrhythmia, including atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter, frequent ectopic or skipped beats, supraventricular tachycardias (SVTs), VT and slow heart rhythms causing dizzy spells and blackouts needing pacemakers. He is an expert in performing catheter ablation for all types of arrhythmia and implanting pacemakers, defibrillators (ICDs), loop recorders (Reveal LINQ) and biventricular pacemakers (CRT). He also implants conduction system pacemakers. He has performed >2,000 electrophysiology studies & ablations and >1,000 device implantation procedures. He implants left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) devices (the Amulet) and the Medtronic Micra leadless pacemaker. Dr Segal has >70 peer-reviewed publications.
