I offer Bupa customers standard cataract surgery on the Full Pathway package option at Ramsay Nottingham Woodthorpe Hospital, Spire Nottingham Hospital .
This package includes your appointments before and after surgery, as well as your surgery and mono-focal lenses. It means you won’t use up your out-patient benefit or receive any additional bills from your surgeon (or anaesthetist, if you need one) for eligible treatment.

About me
Mr Alwitry is a highly experienced Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon who has written three ophthalmology text books and published more than 35 pieces in the world literature. He has a Masters in Medical Law and undertakes much medicolegal work. He has been a specialist adviser to the CQC on Never Events.
Rather than just undertake private cataract and lens-based procedures as a Generalist he sought further specialist training and obtained Post Graduate Diploma in Cataract and Refractive surgery focusing on bespoke patient centred cataract surgery and the use of premium intra-ocular lenses. He undertakes more than 1800 cataract procedures in a year, more than any other surgeon in the Midlands. He has also published two fiction novels - Emergence and Coercion.
He is also a member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists Quality and Safety Group.
He is a local surgeon working in Nottingham and Leicestershire so is always available to care for any problems that may occur.
