About me
Mr Andrew Mahon is a Specialist Hand and Wrist Surgeon with over 13 years experience as a Consultant in this field. Prior to this he undertook a national Advanced Training Post in Hand Surgery after completing his Specialist Training.
He is experienced in all aspects of Hand and Wrist Surgery including injuries and the consequences of injury, nerve compression, nerve injury, Dupuytren's contracture, hand and wrist arthritis and chronic regional pain syndrome. He was the first surgeon in Worcestershire to treat Dupuytren's contracture with Collagenase injections.
He has a particular interest in wrist problems including carpal instability, ligament injuries and fractures of the scaphoid and distal radius. In 2015 he was one of 4 surgeons to participate in a European Wrist Arthroscopy Tour, visiting several centres of excellence in Arthroscopic Wrist Surgery in order to gain experience in techniques that are not widespread in the UK. Since that time he has performed surgery for scaphoid non union and wrist ligament injury using keyhole techniques.
