About me

I have been working as a Consultant Gynaecologist at the Nuffield Tees Hospital in Teesside for over 16 years. I undertake weekly outpatient clinics usually on a Monday evening but also occasional Saturday mornings. I am also receptive to seeing patients on an urgent basis where this can be accommodated. Both day case and inpatient operations can be performed at the hospital. I also see private patients at the Ramsay Tees ValIey Hospital in Acklam, Middlesbrough. In addition, I also work at the Duchy Hospital in Harrogate - my home town. Similar services are available at those sites - my usual clinic at Tees Valley is on a Wednesday evening and at the Duchy it's usually a Saturday morning. My main interests are menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, fibroids, vulval disorders and ovarian cysts, but I have a wide experience of all common gynaecological problems.
I take pride in offering a very personal, accessible service by direct communication with me by text message and email. This speeds up communication and allays anxiety especially when test results are awaited.
In addition to clinical work, I also undertake medico-legal work in both obstetrics and gynaecology and provide reports to solicitors in relation to medical negligence claims. I can see clients in my clinics in support of claims and I am also willing to see clients before claims are made to give advice on whether a claim is worth pursuing - I would need to have access to the medical records in order to make a judgement on this.
