About me

I am a Consultant Dermatologist with a special interest in Vulval Dermatology. I was formerly a Consultant at the RUH, Bath from 2003—2015 when I took early retirement for family reasons . Here I held the post of Lead Clinician from 2010-2013. I was responsible for setting up the RUH Vulval Dermatology service in 1999 and have worked collaboratively with Gynaecologists, Colorectal surgeons and Sexual Health specialists in the Trust.

In addition to this I am interested in the diagnosis and treatment of lumps and bumps, hair and nail disorders, eczema, psoriasis, skin cancers and sun damage.

In my early career I was a GP Principal for 7 years in a busy inner city practice in London and developed an interest in Women‘s health. I feel that working as a GP has given me a broad-based training and understanding of the impact ill health has on my patients‘ psychological well-being.
