About me

Dr. Khalid Khan has been a Consultant Cardiologist at the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board since 2005. He graduated from St. John's College, Cambridge in 1994 and trained in Newcastle, Cambridge and Leicester, where subsequently as a BHF Junior Research Fellow in the Department of Clinical Pharmacology, University of Leicester he developed his interest in cardiovascular medicine. He then completed his specialist training in both Cardiology and General Internal Medicine in Liverpool. His principle current specialist interests reside in the management of cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure and cardiomyopathy, cardiac risk evaluations, myocardial infarction and angina, valve disease, inherited cardiac conditions sudden death Cardiac CT, hypertension, and innovations in delivery of cardiac services. He is a nationally recognised expert in cardiology and general medicine and life expectancy matters providing expert evidence in many hundreds of cases for the UK Courts and Coroners and internationally and undertaking investigations for Trusts and the Ombudsman. As an invited lecturer at many conferences, Honorary Lecturer at Cardiff University, and visiting Lecturer at other universities, he is extensively involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education in the UK and abroad.
