About me
After graduation in 1986, Mr Okeke was a House Officer at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Enugu rotating through General Medicine, Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Surgery. He was in General Practice for National Youth Service and with a Joint Community and Mission Hospital.
He underwent full training in General Surgery at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital for the FWACS and FMCS fellowships with research and dissertation on Cryptorchidism.
He specialised in Urology whilst in Bristol and the South West with Specialist interest in Urological Cancer (Oncology) and Laparoscopic/ Robotic (Keyhole) surgery.
He developed laparoscopic urological surgery in Gloucestershire; and with his colleagues, pioneered the formation of the Robocap Charity which catalysed the establishment of Da Vinci Robotic Surgery at the Cheltenham General Hospital in 2014 serving the three counties of Gloucestershire; Worcestershire and Herefordshire.
