About me
Independent Optometrist
I qualified as an Optometrist in 1983 having studied Optometry and Visual Science at City University in London.
With over 30 years' experience in Optometry my interest in the profession started from a young age as my father was an Optometrist running his own independent practice. He was always an inspiration and I learnt a huge amount from him in the provision of care of patients and their visual needs.
I enjoy all aspects of Optometry with a keen interest in complex clinical cases and taking referrals for patients requiring specialist contact lenses.
As I have been working in the same practice in Cheam for over 30 years I have built up a good relationship with local ophthalmologists and doctors.
As the world of optometry is constantly developing with new technology, I continually invest in the latest diagnostic equipment so as to provide detailed clinical information about your eyes and their health.
Outside of the practice, I have previously been Chairman of the Surrey Optical Society and Secretary of the Merton, Sutton and Wandsworth Local Optical Committee as well as having spoken on our local radio station on eye health care.
