After completing my post-graduate training contract in Bath, I founded Battersea Back Clinic in 1996.
It struck me how much time patients in London spent sitting. Even non-office bound people spend many hours seated whilst travelling, relaxing and socializing. This lead me to examine the relationship between sitting and back problems.
Mine is an increasingly supported view that sitting is the silent cause of the vast majority of London’s back problems.
Exercise regimes to re-condition the spine and ergonomic techniques to help desk bound patients minimize the effects of sitting, are encouraged at Battersea Back Clinic.
