About us
I am an experienced podiatrist with over 22 years in clinical practice, bringing a thoughtful, analytical and highly personable approach to patient care.
My journey into podiatry began at just 17 during work experience with a lower limb physiotherapist specialising in gait. Fascinated by anatomy and medicine, I quickly realised that biomechanics and the study of movement were where my strengths and interests truly lay. What started as curiosity developed into a lifelong career dedicated to understanding how and why foot and lower limb problems occur and, importantly, how to resolve them effectively.
After qualifying, I spent four years working within the NHS in both community and hospital settings. During this time I treated patients with diabetes, complex wound care needs and vascular and neurological conditions. This experience gave me a strong foundation in assessment, prevention and long term management. Inspired by a mentor with a passion for biomechanics, I began integrating musculoskeletal principles into routine podiatry care, focusing not just on treating issues such as corns and callus but understanding why they develop in the first place.
I later went on to complete a Master's degree in Biomechanics. From accurate diagnosis and orthotic prescription through to tailored rehabilitation programmes, I will support patients at every stage of recovery.
I also have experience in vascular assessment, including Doppler and pressure testing, and have undertaken further training in Shockwave therapy, SWIFT treatment and verruca needling.
I took these skills and worked in France as an MSK Podiatrist for 7 years and also moved into lecturing and presentations on Biomechanics and Diabetes screening and assessment.
I have a strong clinical interest in Achilles tendon injuries, ankle injuries, long standing biomechanical issues affecting the knees, hips and ankles, diabetes assessment and screening, and preventing recurring corns and callus.
My approach always centres on one key question, why has this happened? Identifying the root cause is fundamental to achieving long term improvement.
I believe that patients want clarity in their appointments. I firmly believe that understanding builds trust and that trust strengthens outcomes. Using models, demonstrations and visual tools where helpful, I ensure patients leave their appointment knowing what is happening, why it is happening and what their treatment options are.
I always discusses the pros and cons of different approaches so patients feel informed and empowered in their decisions.
I would describe my approach as engaging, positive and relaxed. I aim for every patient to leave feeling reassured, understood and optimistic about their recovery.
Above all, what matters most to me is simple. That patients feel happier and experience an improved quality of life, whether that change is big or small.
