About me

I am a Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist, who trained initially as a Clinical Psychologist at the University of Manchester, before specialising in Neuropsychology. I have always maintained a range of mental health cases alongside my neurorehabilitation work. I have expertise in CBT and metacognitive approaches, with a particular interest in anxiety disorders e.g. panic, social anxiety, generalised anxiety etc and trauma e.g. PTSD.
I have extensive clinical experience in a range of adult mental health, neuroscience and rehabilitation settings. My areas of expertise are:
1. Mental Health assessment and treatment. Trained with internationally renowned experts in the field of CBT and metacognitive therapy at the University of Manchester, including Professor Adrian Wells. Significant experience and expertise in cognitive behavioural therapy CBT, metacognitive therapy MCT and also schema therapy. Special interest in anxiety disorders e.g. panic, social anxiety, OCD, generalised anxiety and health anxiety, low mood and complex trauma PTSD.
2. Significant inpatient and outpatient experience in the treatment of complex symptoms such as Functional Neurological Disorder FND and Non-epileptic Attack Disorder NEAD, often alongside complex early childhood trauma where relevant.
3. Extensive parallel Neuropsychology experience inpatient and outpatient settings. Fully qualified neuropsychologist on BPS specialist register of clinical neuropsychologists SRCN.
