About me
I am credentialed in the United Kingdom with The National Counselling Psychotherapy Society. I have experience in helping clients with stress, anxiety, trauma, abuse, motivation, self-esteem, confidence, depression, & concentration, memory, neuro-education and acceptance.
Being neurodivergent (Autistic with ADHD), I am able to support with the differences we face on a daily basis. As there is nothing 'wrong' being Autistic and ADHD, the world around us can potentially make it that little bit trickier. Through ACT (Acceptance Compassion Therapy) we can work on accepting yourself for who are, building on your strengths and what you are able to do, as opposed to looking at what you may perceive as 'not the right way of feeling'.
With this in mind, I understand and validate experiences as a parent/carer regarding carer's fatigue and responsibilities. I have established my charity on 20th January; a neurodivergent mental health charity.
I am a specialist Neurodiversity and Mental Health Mentor for university students who are in receipt of Disability Student Allowance (DSA) and have been with students from their first day at university and seen them graduate. I also have experience working with focus, procrastination, motivation and self-confidence. I am so thankful being part of their journey to accepting themselves for who they are, and to see them graduate.
I have worked in many statuary sectors (NHS, County Councils, schools) that have gained me invaluable insight of the importance of wellbeing in the workplace, family, and for the individual of any age. I come with an understanding of the pressures and expectations that come with all elements of life, and will work with you to - not simply 'over-come difficulties - learn more about yourself, accepting all parts of you and your world, and learn to retain your energy/focus for you.
I offer psychoeducation within a neuro-affirming approach where my personal and professional experiences collide in finding the best way forward with you as my client, in becoming your best version of yourself. My style is relaxed, warm and interactive.
I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.
