About me
Mr Ayekoloye is a highly experienced consultant orthopaedic surgeon with over 25 years of clinical practice, specialising exclusively in lower limb arthroplasty and reconstruction. He combines extensive experience with advanced fellowship training at leading UK and international centres.

EXPERIENCE & TRAINING
Mr Ayekoloye completed his orthopaedic specialist training in North-West England in 2002, followed by a series of prestigious fellowship placements refining his expertise in revision and complex arthroplasty:
King's College Hospital, London - Fellowship in revision hip and knee arthroplasty
Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading - Fellowship in revision hip and knee arthroplasty
Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto (under Prof. Allan Gross) - Senior clinical fellowship in adult reconstruction, advanced hip exposures, bone grafting, acetabular reconstruction, complex knee revision techniques
Prior to joining Practice Plus Group in 2023, Mr Ayekoloye held a consultant post in lower limb arthroplasty at Mount Stuart Hospital, Torquay. He has published research in peer-reviewed specialty journals and holds dual postgraduate master's degrees. He has performed over 190 same-day joint replacements in the past two years, achieving an approximately 80 per cent same-day discharge rate.

AREAS OF INTEREST
Mr Ayekoloye has a particular clinical interest in complex and revision arthroplasty, same-day surgery pathways, and advancing patient outcomes in lower limb joint reconstruction. Specific interests include:
• Complex primary hip and knee replacements in patients with significant deformity or bone loss
• Revision hip and knee arthroplasty, using stems, augments, sleeves, and constrained implants
• Advanced acetabular reconstruction, including bone grafts and augments for large acetabular defects
• Dual mobility and constrained liner techniques for high-risk hip instability cases
• Medial uni-compartmental knee replacement as a joint-preserving alternative to total knee replacement
• Same-day (day-case) joint replacement, expanding access to accelerated recovery programmes for selected patients
• Patient-centred shared decision-making and informed consent in elective orthopaedic care
• Research and publication in specialty-specific peer-reviewed journals
