About me
Are you looking for some therapy for your child or teenager? I offer Counselling, Play & Creative Art Therapy sessions to children and young people.
I am a friendly, caring and compassionate counsellor with a passion for helping others. Taking the first step in seeking therapy can feel daunting and takes a lot of courage, I offer a non judgemental, confidential space for you to explore your feelings. I can offer both short term or long term therapy including Counselling and Play Therapy. My experience includes working with children & young people in schools and the charity sector with a variety of issues. My most recent experience has been working with young people and adults who have a diagnosis of cancer, supporting them through diagnosis, treatment and recovery. I also work as a school counsellor in my local school.
Counselling - Counselling is a talking therapy which provides a safe space for a client to explore their feelings and make positive changes to their lives. I work alongside you on your therapeutic journey providing you with a non-judgmental environment, empathy, and unconditional positive regard. I can also provide DBT based coping strategies to support you
Play/Creative Arts Therapy - Play Therapy is a creative model which uses metaphor (art, music, sand tray and role play) as a way of exploring difficult feelings and life events. Play is a child's natural way of communicating so this is the basis of our work together whilst providing a safe and encouraging environment to explore their feelings.

I am Trauma Informed. I work with a variety of issues such as Bereavement; Self harm; Anxiety; Depression; Family separation; Illness; Exam Stress; Bullying; Neuro Divergence; Low Mood; Identity and Gender issues.
