About me

Life can sometimes feel heavy or stuck and carrying those experiences alone can be exhausting. As a HCPC Registered Clinical Psychologist with experience in the NHS and private practice, I support adults facing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including complex trauma, anxiety, depression and neurodevelopmental or cognitive needs. I apply an integrative approach to therapy, drawing on evidence based models such as CBT, CFT, DBT and Schema Therapy, tailoring our work to what feels most helpful for you.

My practice is trauma informed and culturally responsive. I take time to understand how your identity, values and life experiences, alongside wider systemic factors, shape your wellbeing. I offer a warm, collaborative space where you can explore challenges safely, make sense of past experiences and begin to reduce their impact. I believe that meaningful therapy is never one size fits all and I aim to adapt my approach flexibly so that it aligns with your goals, values and lived experience.

Clients often describe feeling heard, supported and clearer about their next steps. My aim is to help you regain confidence, calm and direction as you navigate life's challenges.

I offer regular remote therapy sessions, with some limited face to face appointments available.

I offer a free 30-minute online consultation, giving you a no pressure space to talk about what you're looking for and to get a sense of whether we feel like a good fit.

If you would like to get in touch, you can contact me via Bupa, through my website: www.thepsychologyconsultants.com, or by email at drzulaikhaali@outlook.com.

Areas of interest

I specialise in adult mental health, supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, low self esteem, trauma and PTSD, life transitions and more. I have expertise working with both childhood and adult trauma, as well as working with those with neurodevelopmental and intellectual differences.

In addition to delivering therapy, I have extensive experience conducting cognitive assessments, including the WAIS and regularly complete medico legal assessments. I have held roles across inpatient, community and legal settings and my wider professional experience includes clinical supervision, training and expert witness work.
