About me

Dr Pearson is an experienced Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Neuropsychologist with over 8 years of experience in the field of acquired brain injury and neuro-rehabilitation.

Dr Pearson qualified as a Clinical Psychologist from the University of East London in 2018. He subsequently completed specialist post-doctoral training in Clinical Neuropsychology at the University of Bristol in 2022, and is on the Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists (SRCN).

Dr Pearson has worked in the NHS and private health settings since 2007. He has experience working in specialist neurological rehabilitation in acute medical and rehabilitation inpatient wards, outpatient, and home-based settings with a range of conditions including traumatic brain injury, stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, epilepsy and dementia.

Dr Pearson provides specialist neuropsychological assessment, formulation and therapeutic support for individuals with neurological conditions and their family members. He utilises an integrative, evidence-based approach and works therapeutically using a range of models including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, narrative, and systemic approaches. His clinical interests include identity and sense of self and facilitating psychological adjustment in the context of neurological conditions for both the person with the condition and their significant others.

Appointments with Dr Pearson are available via home visits and online. He also has consulting rooms available around Winchester.
