About me

Hello, I'm Lucy Chewins, an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can explore whatever is troubling you at your own pace. Alongside developing a deeper understanding of yourself, we will work together to build the insight, resilience and practical strategies that support you in moving forward in a way that feels right for you.

Not everyone finds it easy to put their experiences into words, and there is no expectation that you have to. Where it feels helpful, I can incorporate creative approaches into our work, offering different ways to explore thoughts and feelings without all the pressure being on finding the right words.

Together, we can explore your thoughts, feelings, behaviours and experiences, helping you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and the challenges you are facing, so that you can move forward with greater clarity, confidence and self-compassion.

I recognise that many difficulties can be linked to relationships, life experiences and patterns developed over time, and I support clients in exploring these with curiosity and compassion. I work with adults experiencing a range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, and the impact of challenging life experiences.

As an integrative counsellor, I tailor therapy to the individual rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. My aim is to provide a safe and supportive environment where you feel heard, understood and accepted, enabling you to make sense of your experiences and move towards lasting and meaningful change.

I have over 15 years' experience supporting people in a variety of settings and work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework.
