About me
I am an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) with over 12 years' experience working within NHS mental health services. I support adults experiencing anxiety, depression, and stress-related difficulties to better understand their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, and make meaningful, lasting changes.
I offer a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental space, alongside a structured and goal-focused approach. Therapy is collaborative and tailored to you, helping it feel both manageable and effective.
I specialise in anxiety disorders, including generalised anxiety (GAD), panic, health anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), as well as depression, PTSD and trauma, and work-related stress. I particularly support individuals who feel stuck in cycles of worry, overthinking, or avoidance, and want to regain a sense of control.
Drawing on my extensive NHS experience, I provide evidence-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), working collaboratively to develop a clear understanding of your difficulties and identify practical strategies for change.
My work focuses on helping you to:
Reduce anxiety, worry, and overthinking
Break patterns of avoidance and safety behaviours
Build confidence in facing feared situations
Improve mood and motivation
Develop a more balanced and compassionate relationship with your thoughts
I use a range of CBT techniques, including behavioural activation, graded exposure, and exposure and response prevention (ERP) for OCD. Where appropriate, I also integrate mindfulness and acceptance-based approaches.
I also have experience supporting individuals living with long-term physical health conditions, including chronic pain, cardiac conditions, gastrointestinal difficulties, and respiratory conditions such as COPD. I understand the strong link between physical and mental health and support clients in managing the emotional impact of these conditions.
