About me

hello there,

I am trained to Doctorate level in Counselling Psychology and psychotherapy and work through a trauma based lens to de- pathologise and support clients to understand their 'true selves' as oppose to trying to mask or suppress.

I draw on developmental psychology, neuroscience, existential and cognitive behavioural theories to work within an integrative approach to suit each client. Most importantly, I work relationally, which means I use an understanding of my own responses to support you to understand yourself in relation to others, and in context.

I am also trained in EMDR which is a way of working to process trauma, involving less talking than usual.

Interests: Difficulties in relationships with others including trauma/ attachment; anxiety & low mood; self esteem and confidence; neurodivergence & trauma; perinatal- mental health mothers of twins and higher order multiples; twin issues through the lifespan
