About me

I am a fully qualified and BACP Accredited Counsellor, offering a warm, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace. I work relationally and with genuine care, tailoring support to what you need in the moment.

With over 30 years' experience in the NHS, education, and charitable sectors as a qualified nurse and carer, I bring a deep understanding of emotional resilience, compassion, and the impact of life's challenges. My background helps inform a grounded, empathetic approach to therapy.

I also have a special interest in supporting neurodivergent individuals, particularly those with ADHD and Autism and in working with people navigating life stage transitions such as changed in education, moving to university, marriage, pregnancy, postnatal changes, separation, redundancy, retirement, or other major shifts in identity and role.

In addition, I've undertaken further training in clinical supervision and offer 1:1 support for professionals who need a confidential space to reflect on the emotional demands of their work. Whether you are in healthcare, education, social care or another caring profession, I offer a supportive environment to process your experiences and maintain your own wellbeing.

Many people come to counselling because they simply need to talk, to feel heard, or to make sense of something that feels overwhelming.
Some of the areas I regularly work with include:

Anxiety and Depression

Mental health difficulties

Long-term or chronic ill health Stress

Abuse and trauma Sexual violence

Low self-esteem and confidence

PTSD Self-harm

I offer counselling in a calm, relaxed environment and aim to be as flexible as possible to suit your individual needs, including the option to adjust session length where helpful. You're welcome to choose the number of sessions that feels right for you, whether that's a one-off session or ongoing support.

If you'd like to discuss arranging your first session, I offer a free, no-obligation 15-minute video call to help you get a feel for how we might work together.
