About me

I have fifteen years experience of helping people improve their quality of life so they feel less troubled or overwhelmed by the difficulties they are facing.

I offer sessions on Saturday mornings and weekday daytime and evenings. I am happy to arrange a free introductory call to see if we are well suited.

My goal is to provide a warm, safe space to enable you to get to the heart of the problem that brings you to therapy.

I have a flexible approach. Everyone who comes to counselling has their own story and challenges. Some people find that talking through an issue works well for them. Others find that using art, the imagination, sand tray or imagery work is more helpful. Our job is to find out what works for you.

You may be worried about sharing what's troubling you or feel that your issues aren't bad enough for therapy - that others are worse off than you. That isn't true: whatever is troubling you matters because it's having an impact on your life. I am here to help you explore it and make sense of what's going on. We will work together to help you feel better equipped to make choices or changes that work for you.

I am an accredited member of BACP: I abide by their code of ethics and I have regular supervision and additional training to support my work as a therapist and keep my skills and knowledge up to date.

I am also a registered SandStory therapist. This type of therapy combines the use of sand, water and symbols with the expressive elements of storytelling so that as a client you are able to tell your story in the sand.
