About me
Dr Bikash Bhojnagarwala is a Consultant Neonatologist with a specialist interest in Paediatric Cardiology. He provides expert assessment and management of cardiac and general paediatric conditions in newborns, infants, and children.
Dr Bhojnagarwala has particular expertise in congenital heart disease screening, heart murmur evaluation, and echocardiographic assessment of cardiac structure and function. He is certified in congenital heart disease echocardiography and has extensive experience in the use of point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) for cardiac, lung, and vascular assessment.
His clinical practice includes evaluation of rhythm disorders, chest pain, palpitations, syncope, and circulatory instability in infants and children. In neonatal medicine, he provides comprehensive newborn health assessments, management of feeding difficulties, reflux, jaundice, and follow-up of premature infants including developmental review.
He is the Lead for Neonatal Services at the Oliver Fisher Neonatal Unit at Medway Maritime Hospital and is actively involved in teaching, research, and clinical innovation, particularly in neonatal haemodynamics and point-of-care ultrasound.
