About me

Dr Fabris is a highly experienced Consultant Physician with over 20 years of practice in General and Acute Medicine. She is known for her thoughtful, analytical approach combined with genuine compassion and clear communication.
She currently leads the Rapid Diagnostic Clinic at Kings College Hospital, part of the South East London Cancer Alliance. This specialist service assesses patients with persistent or non-specific symptoms where there may be concern about serious underlying illness, including cancer.
Her work in early cancer diagnosis was published in Future Oncology (2025), evaluating the real-world impact of Rapid Diagnostic Clinics across South East London.
This experience gives her particular expertise in:
Evaluating complex or vague symptoms (weight loss, pain, fatigue, breathlessness, abnormal bloods/radiology)
 Identifying red flags promptly
 Coordinating investigations efficiently
 Ensuring seamless multidisciplinary care

Before leading the Rapid Diagnostic Clinic, Dr Fabris worked for 16 years as a Consultant in Acute Medicine, including serving as Clinical Lead and Clinical Governance Lead.
She was the first Acute Physician appointed at Princess Royal University Hospital and played a key role in developing and expanding the consultant-led service. Throughout her career, she has managed thousands of acute and complex cases across multiple specialties.
She frequently supports patients with:
Unexplained weight loss or persistent pain
 Abnormal blood tests
 Breathlessness
 Recurrent infections
 Multi-system or complex conditions
 Diagnostic uncertainty
 Requests for second opinions
Her training in General Internal Medicine allows her to take a holistic view, assessing the whole person rather than focusing on a single organ system.

Cardiovascular Expertise
Dr Fabris has a strong specialist interest in cardiology and cardiac imaging.
She holds full accreditation in transthoracic echocardiography from the British Society of Echocardiography and previously directed focused echocardiography training programmes in collaboration with the Resuscitation Council UK.
She provides expert assessment of:
 Hypertension
 Palpitations
 Breathlessness
 Heart failure
 Pulmonary embolism risk
Where appropriate, she can arrange timely cardiac investigations as part of a coordinated diagnostic plan.
