About me
Dr Sayam Dubash is a Consultant Rheumatologist with extensive experience in all Rheumatology and musculoskeletal problems. He conducts outpatient clinics at the HCA Chiswick, HCA The Lister Hospital, the Syon clinic, and works for Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust where he manages general rheumatology conditions and leads specialist clinics in psoriatic arthritis, spondyloarthritis and connective tissue diseases. He is skilled in the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound and nail fold video capillaroscopy which are tools for the diagnosis and management of inflammatory diseases.
He explains diseases in an easy to understand manner, is compassionate, and listens to patients and understands their needs. He has over two decades of experience and keeps up-to-date with the latest developments in his field. Dr Dubash qualified in medicine in 2004 at the University of Bristol, following which he was awarded with MRCP (London), MRCP (Rheum) and FRCP. He advocates accurate diagnosis and early treatment for successful outcomes in inflammatory arthritis, and always aims to deliver excellence in care for his patients. He has received prizes and awards for his clinical care, teaching and research.
Dr Dubash and colleagues received the NASS patient choice award in the Palace of Westminster, Houses of Parliament for the best team nationally for care of patients with Ankylosing Spondylitis as nominated by patients.
He has teaching qualifications in medical education (PGCME), regularly teaching and lecturing students and doctors. He has previous experience of being the clinical lead for rheumatology. He is principal investigator for several rheumatology clinical trials in Sjogren's, psoriatic arthritis and spondyloarthritis.
Having developed an interest in a group of diseases called the spondyloarthritides, he completed an additional research doctorate degree (MD) at the world renown LIRMM centre of excellence. He has presented at international conferences such as the American College of Rheumatology and has published clinical and translational research in high-impact Rheumatology journals. He has received prizes and awards for his clinical care, teaching and research.
