About me

Lydia Heins Physiotherapy is based in Moy, Dungannon, and offers a home-based service, allowing you to receive expert physiotherapy assessment and treatment in the comfort of your own home. This is ideal for those who have difficulty accessing outpatient appointments or have limited time available.

I am a highly experienced and passionate physiotherapist, qualified since 2015. I am also a member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP). I serve as a committee member of the Association of Trauma and Orthopaedic Chartered Physiotherapists (ATOCP), contributing to the advancement of best practices within the profession.

In 2025, I completed a Master's degree in Trauma and Orthopaedic Science at Queen Mary University of London, further deepening my clinical expertise and academic foundation in the field. Over the past five years, I have actively contributed to national and regional conferences, presenting on topics such as service improvement and patient-centred rehabilitation - reflecting my commitment to evidence-based practice and continual professional development.

My specialist interests include trauma and orthopaedics, limb reconstruction and vestibular rehabilitation. I also have extensive expertise in vascular surgery and amputee rehabilitation, neurological injury, major trauma, facial palsy, frailty and falls prevention, and dementia care. I'm committed to helping patients not only recover, but thrive - whether that's regaining independence after a hospital stay, building strength after injury, or preventing future setbacks. I offer open, friendly, and expert assessment and rehabilitation tailored to each individual. My approach is detailed and holistic, with clear recommendations and a focus on long-term wellbeing.
