About me
Hello and welcome to my bio.
I qualified over 15 years ago and have counselled adults and adolescents since then. My qualification is at postgraduate level in integrative counselling. This means I can bring flexibility to my work; drawing upon experience and from a range of therapeutic approaches that best suits your needs.
To help you, I offer a 20 minute phone consultation. You can then decide for yourself if I am the right counsellor for you. I provide a warm, empathic, friendly and non-judgemental environment where you can talk in complete confidence.
I have been employed as a Lead Clinician both in general and issue-specific roles since qualifying.
Your time in counselling creates space to make sense of your life and events that may have shaped you and been influential on how you now see yourself. In counselling we work towards positive changes in our lives; increasing self-esteem, self-worth, improving our relationships, becoming happier and feeling more optimistic about life.
We all have the ability to grow and heal with an inner understanding to know what is best for ourselves. At times, this feels impossible; we can feel stuck and lost. Life can feel complicated and it feels like we cannot see a way forward. It is up to you what you choose to bring and work with. I can offer help with a variety of presenting issues as listed below.
I offer both short term and longer term counselling depending on your needs. I also offer on line appointments as well as face to face.
As their therapy has come to a close, recent clients I have worked with have expressed:
'I feel so much more positive about life. I can look forward without being burdened by past events. Thank you so much for listening to me over the months' (G, West Sussex)
'Thank you for your fabulous support. It feels like you really understood what was going on for me that meant a lot' (J, West Sussex)
Thank you, thank you, thank you, I would not have got through the last year without you!' (C, London)
A key to successful therapy is that you are entirely comfortable working with me. If I have not answered all your immediate questions, as is very likely, please feel free to call me and ask.
