About me

I am a registered Counselling Psychologist based in Amersham, Buckinghamshire. I am registered with both the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). I practise mainly from a psychoanalytic perspective which is a form of depth psychology that helps people to understand why they might think, feel or behave in certain ways which are often unconscious, and to understand where these patterns might come from. It looks at how a person repeats certain relational and behavioural patterns from their past and how these contribute to present difficulties and keep a person 'stuck'. However, as a therapist trained in various approaches, I always adapt my practice to each person.
?
In addition to private practice, I also work in the NHS as a perinatal counselling psychologist working with mothers and families experiencing mental health difficulties during the antenatal and postnatal period.
