About me
Ms Tasmin Berman is a Consultant Ophthalmologist subspecialising in glaucoma and cataract surgery (including complex cataract surgery) at the Countess of Chester Hospital. She graduated from Newcastle University Medical school and completed her ophthalmology training within the Mersey region including a year long subspeciality training at St Pauls Eye Hospital, Liverpool in Glaucoma before completing a post training glaucoma fellowship at the Prestigious Manchester Royal Eye Hospital being trained by Mr Leon Au and Ms Cecilia Fenerty.
She is passionate about teaching and education, She has been appointed to the training faculty of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists teaching surgical skills to junior doctors, and is the College tutor for ophthalmology trainees at the Countess of Chester.
She is also actively involved in research projects, having published his work in peer reviewed journals and presenting the outcomes at various national and international conferences.
She lives in Cheshire with her husband, son and newest addition Dash the dog. In her spare time, she loves gardening, growing things in her greenhouse and outdoor swimming.
