About me

I am an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) � accreditation is a quality standard for experienced professional practitioners.
In my private practice I see adults of all ages on a wide variety of issues and concerns. I also work with public and private sector organisations supporting their employees through employee assistance programmes. As a senior counsellor in a non-profit making counselling service, I have provided counselling in local community settings. I also provide counselling for trainees working towards a qualification in counselling.
Before becoming a counsellor, I worked in public and private sector corporate environments. I bring an understanding of the challenges that can arise for adults at every stage of their lives and careers, including the pressures of trying to maintain a balance between the demands of work and other responsibilities as part of a heathy and fulfilled life.

Working together with you as my focus, I draw on my training, skills and experience to develop the most appropriate counselling approach. This will help you get a better understanding about your current situation and I will work alongside you as you identify and implement changes that you feel are possible to make.
I have proven experience of working successfully with adults of all ages on a wide range of concerns. Issues I can help with include depression; anxiety; work related stress and other issues; relationship difficulties; issues within families; lack of self-esteem and identity; issues related to childhood experience; trauma; redundancy; sex and sexual issues; compulsive behaviours; feeling dissatisfied and stuck; illness; panic attacks; grief and bereavement.
