About me

Hi I am Ken. (He/Him)

Supporting Families/Groups, Couples, Individuals and Young People (12-18)

GSRD: Each Relationship is unique and it is your relationship done your way! Whether it be Monogamous, Consensual Non-Monogamy, Throupling, Polyamory or any other diverse relationship counselling can help you to explore
your relationship types, options and boundaries. Working through other things such as jealousy and 'rule breaking' and general worries and concerns about your relationships.

LGBTQIA+ Clients: Trans and non-binary clients are a keen interest and focus of my work and a safe space is offered to members of this community. Whether your concern is the Transition process, coming out to family, fears or worries about the future or other issues such as body dysmorphia that often come with being Trans counselling will help you to explore these issues.

Clients within the LGBTQIA+ community identify in many different ways and have various couples dynamics and attend counselling with issues including self-identity; coming out to family and friends; understanding the many and different pronouns, terminology and subsections that people associate with and where they 'fit' within the community, we can explore this together.

You can also be supported with issues not connected to your LGBTQIA+ Status.

Bereavement and Suicide: When you lose a loved one the complexities of loss and change can be hard to manage. It can be hard imagining a future without them. With support through counselling you will learn a state of acceptance and how to live your 'new normal'.

Often with sudden death and also suicide you may have complex unanswered questions. Was I there for them? Could I have stopped it? Why did this happen? We can work through these questions together.

Men's Mental Health including Domestic Violence: For men to reach out and express how they feel can be very hard, they fear stigma, worry of being judged and feeling of not being 'like a man'. You are not alone in these feelings and counselling can offer that safe space to express your feelings without judgement.

Male victims of Domestic Violence may feel isolated, weak or not believed. By examining this in counselling you will be supported to understand it is not your fault nor a weakness and you can determine a greater understanding of the situation and also you can explore what your future may look like.

Relationship/Couples Counselling Clients have been supported through communication issues, finding a better way to communicate needs and manage niggles and conflict. Also dealing with relationship breakdown and negotiating diverse relationship types, agreed boundaries within your relationships and overcoming infidelity, lies and mistrust.

Neurodivergence Affirmative With over 20 years experince of supporting neurodivergence I understand the social and communication issues some clients may experience.

With this in mind, I am neuro-diverse affirmative and can adapt my sessions accordingly to meet your needs.
