About me

I have extensive experience of working with children, young people and families and have a specialist interest in maternal mental health.

I work with a range of difficulties arising from depression, anxiety (including OCD), eating disorders, interpersonal difficulties, the effects of trauma (including PTSD) and bereavement.

Being a parent myself, I understand the joy, pressures and unique challenges faced during the perinatal period and family life. I also appreciate the lasting impact that birthing experiences can have and the potential for intergenerational trauma within the family.

I am really passionate about systemic working and consider the whole family unit whether I work individually or with the family system. I always view things through an attachment lens and bring this into all my work.

I find systemic work so rewarding as it empowers all individuals within a family unit to have the confidence to communicate compassionately and effectively so their needs are met, whilst acknowledging the need for kindness towards themselves.
