About me

Hello, I am Helen, a Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years post qualification experience. Since qualifying as a clinical psychologist in 2014, I have worked in a variety of NHS and private clinical settings across the UK. These include adult mental health, older adult psychology and memory clinic services, pain management services, spinal injuries, major trauma services (supporting individuals impacted by traumatic physical and/or brain injuries) and neurorehabilitation.

I value the importance of developing a therapeutic rapport, ensuring that clients feel listened to and safe to participate in therapy.

My aim is to understand your current difficulties in a mindful, compassionate and personalised way integrating the latest evidence based psychological approaches. Working collaboratively to build a formulation and identify therapeutic goals, therapy will be tailored to helping you process and develop strategies that enable you to start building a richer and more meaningful life in line with what matters to you.

I am trained in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Compassion Focused and Solution Focused Approaches as well as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I have completed additional teacher training in Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBSR/MBCT).
