About me

My name is Mel, and I am an accredited, neurodivergent affirming integrative counsellor and psychotherapist. I offer weekly or fortnightly face-to-face or online therapy sessions to adults.

My approach blends relational depth, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-focused brief therapy, and somatic awareness (attention to bodily experience).

I have worked in private practice for eight years, during which time, I have gained experience supporting a diverse range of clients across the country. In addition, I have worked with charities, colleges, and employee assistance programmes.

My practice is based just outside Odiham in Hampshire. I offer both short-term and open-ended therapy, depending on what feels right for you.

I work extensively with people who are, or suspect they may be, neurodiverse.

Many of my clients come to therapy for support with:

Navigating challenges in their working life.
Managing anxiety and finding ways out of fight, flight, or freeze.
Feeling not good enough or struggling with self-criticism.
 Experiencing depression or low mood.
 Building confidence and self-esteem.
Quietening overthinking and soothing the nervous system.
Breaking patterns of burnout, perfectionism, and people pleasing.
 Nervous system regulation for RSD.
Learning to respond rather than react (at work and in relationships).
Developing a kinder, more compassionate understanding of themselves.
Noticing where their energy goes, what drains it, and what helps restore it.
Help with understanding what emotional or sensory overload look like.
Processing the emotional impact of late-identified autism, ADHD, or AuDHD.

If you're feeling overwhelmed and unsure where to begin, please know that you're not alone. It's completely understandable to feel this way, and we can take things one step at a time.

I provide a comfortable, flexible space to unmask and relax, so you can start processing everything you are invisibly carrying. In sessions, my aim is to move at your pace, with an emphasis on your safety.

You are the expert on yourself, and I tailor my approach to meet your unique attention, sensory, and pacing needs.

If you'd like to know more or simply have a chat about whether I might be the right fit for you, please get in touch.
