About me
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it's important to find someone you feel comfortable with. As a counselling psychologist, my approach is integrative, grounded in person-centred values. This means I draw on different therapeutic models to meet your individual needs, while always keeping your experience, autonomy, and perspective at the heart of our work. I aim to offer a therapeutic environment where you feel heard, respected, and supported, and where we can explore whatever you're facing at your own pace, with honesty and care.
Training, Qualifications & Experience
I have been working in the field of mental health since 2006. Over the years, I've supported clients in a range of settings, including Victim Support, MIND, Women's Aid, East London NHS Foundation Trust, South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, and Xyla Services. Within the NHS, I have worked across both primary and secondary care, which has given me insight into a wide spectrum of psychological difficulties and levels of support.
My academic background includes a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and a Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology. I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a chartered member of the British Psychological Society's Division of Counselling Psychology.
Research into what helps people in therapy points again and again to the importance of a strong, trusting relationship where you feel understood, accepted, and not judged. This is at the heart of how I work. I try to offer a space where you can be yourself, where we can be curious together about what's going on for you, and where you feel supported in finding your own way forward. While I bring professional training to our work, what matters most is that we build a connection that feels safe, respectful, and real.
