Shana is a certified PINC and STEEL Cancer Rehab physiotherapist providing an enhanced, personalised and holistic assessment for all patients undergoing cancer treatment or surgery.
Prehabilitation, or "prehab," is a proactive approach aimed at enhancing a patient's physical and psychological well-being before surgery, ultimately improving recovery outcomes.
She has first-hand experience delivering successful, safe and efficient digital cancer prehab and rehabilitation services. She has level two psychological support training in cancer as specified by NICE guidelines. She provides holistic assessment of a person's nutritional status and onwards referral needs as part of preparation for treatment or surgery. She provides complex fatigue management assessment and programmes. She works as part of QuestPrehab to deliver virtual prehabilitation programs and customises QuestPrehab's technology platform to meet every client's needs. At QuestPrehab we believe every person deserves the best functional outcome from a major medical intervention such as cancer or surgery and that is should not automatically result in reduced quality of life. Prehabilitation has proven improved health outcomes, shorter time in hospital and reduced readmissions as part of patient's recovery.
