About me

Sarah is a Clinical Psychologist with 10 years of experience working in a variety of clinical settings, including the NHS and community organisations. Though she has worked with various populations, she has developed a particular passion for working with children and families. She has significant experience working with young people from early years to early adulthood, as well as working with families together, and parents. She also has a particular interest in working with people with health conditions.

Sarah takes a warm, thoughtful, and collaborative approach to her work. She prioritises building a strong, trusting relationship and works to understand the child, person or family, their needs, and how to make them feel safe. She also recognises how an individual's experiences have shaped them, as well as their environment or relationships. Sarah is committed to making sure therapy is accessible to those with differing needs e.g. ADHD or ASD diagnoses.

As a psychologist, Sarah draws on a range of therapeutic approaches and models including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focussed Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Systemic, Narrative and Trauma-Informed approaches. She is able to offer in-depth psychological assessment to inform understandings of difficulties.

Outside of therapeutic work, Sarah has developed strong skills in facilitating workshops, training and consultation for individuals, groups, and teams. She has a range of experience leading projects, consulting with teams and collaborating with local community organizations to make meaningful improvements, support them to work well together and with clients, and resolve difficulties. Sarah is also able to offer cognitive assessments.

In her spare time, she is a Trustee for a local charity in Birmingham who support and fundraise for refugees and asylum seekers. She is passionate about social change. Sarah also loves to do anything outdoors: camping, hiking, skiing, or swimming.
