About me
I am an experienced Counsellor accredited by the BACP, with extensive experience supporting adults with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties.
I am qualified in the Person-Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression (PCE-CfD) approach, one of the NICE-recommended therapies used within NHS Talking Therapies services.
I will offer a safe, supportive and confidential therapeutic space to help you explore the difficulties you may be experiencing with the hope that you are better able to understand yourself and your situation.
I believe that you are the expert in your own life. My role as your Counsellor is not to give advice or provide solutions, but to listen with empathy, help you make sense of your experiences, and support you in finding your own way forward. I work in a client-led way, meaning sessions move at a pace that feels comfortable for you and focus on what feels most important to explore.
I currently work part-time as a Counsellor within the NHS, for a charitable service organisation, and with a number of Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) providers. I have also previously worked within NHS Talking Therapies services (formerly IAPT). Through these roles, I have gained considerable experience working with a wide range of client presentations, including anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and trauma-related issues.
My work is supported by regular clinical supervision and ongoing professional development.
