About me

I'm an experienced, accredited practitioner with significant trauma training. I work with adults, children and young people.

At some time or another we all reach a stage in our lives when talking to somebody new, in confidence, can be of enormous benefit. Counselling offers you the opportunity to talk to someone who is experienced, empathic and non-judgmental. By talking with a counsellor, you can begin to understand the events of your past and how they affect you today, so that going forward you can choose to do things differently. For many clients this is a deeply valuable experience and can have a long-lasting effect.

I aim to provide you with a caring, informed and confidential space to explore any issues that you may be facing. I work with people struggling with a variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, stress, trauma and bereavement.

I enjoy integrating creative approaches into my work and have seen the benefits with people I have worked with. Creative approaches can be a very helpful and insightful way to explore feelings, emotions, past events and future hopes. Working creatively is certainly not about being good at art or drawing, but for some people this approach can feel easier than talking, unlocking new ways to process and explore things.

Counselling takes place in Lime Tree Cabin, my warm and welcoming purpose-built garden room in Moordown, Bournemouth.
