About me

Dr Katie is a Clinical Psychologist with experience of working therapeutically with adults, children, young people, and families across a range of complex difficulties. She offers evidence-based therapy for various difficulties that her clients face, including anxiety, low mood, trauma, challenges associated with neurodiversity, interpersonal difficulties, OCD, and eating disorders.

Dr Katie has lots of experience of working with young people and their families, as well as with individuals, and is open to thinking about how best to support her clients to achieve positive outcomes in line with their goals, to help them to live a more fulfilled life. Having worked in different services for over ten years, Dr Katie uses a range of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Systemic Therapy, and Emotion Focused Family Therapy, which are adapted to individuals' needs.

Dr Katie is passionate about helping clients to feel understood and safe in the therapeutic space. Acknowledging that therapy can be challenging, she supports you in navigating these challenges to enable you to work through your difficulties with compassion and respect.

In the initial sessions together, Dr Katie prioritises spending time getting to know you, developing a shared understanding of your difficulties and agreeing a plan to support a collaborative approach in therapy.

Dr Katie is a highly qualified clinical psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC, PYL040203). Katie has a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from University College London, with further training in Family-Therapy for Eating Disorders and Emotion-Focused Family Therapy. Her educational background also includes a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Masters in Clinical Psychology.

Dr Katie offers sessions online on Thursdays and Fridays. Please get in touch for more information.
