About me
Dr Caitlin Neill is a Clinical Psychologist who specialises in working with children, young people and their families. She has worked in NHS practice for over ten years. Caitlin prides herself on offering a warm, welcoming and flexible approach.

In her NHS roles, Caitlin works as a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist in a busy London child development team. Caitlin has undertaken further training to offer specialist assessments for autism and learning disabilities. She offers multidisciplinary assessments and support for young people with autism and neurodiversity. Within this role, she offers support to children, young people and their families to navigate both the strengths and difficulties they might experience in relation to neurodiversity. This frequently includes emotion regulation, positive behaviour support and making changes to the environment to best support young people and their families. Caitlin co-facilitates a sleep clinic for children and young people with sleep difficulties and has trained as a Sleep Counsellor.
Caitlin also works as a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist supporting children and young people with psychological distress as a result of acute and chronic medical and health conditions. She has worked across a range of hospital settings and specialties, including orthopaedics, oncology, diabetes, gastroenterology, feeding difficulties, headaches, complications of excess weight and neonatal care.

Caitlin uses an integrative approach to psychological therapy, drawing on systemic, narrative and third-wave Cognitive Behaviour Therapy models.

Caitlin gained a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Exeter before going on to complete a master's degree in clinical applications of psychology from the University of Warwick. Caitlin also has a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of East London.

Caitlin has conducted and published research in academic journals concerning the adequacy of inquiry about, documentation of, and treatment of trauma and adversities (Neill & Read, 2022).
