About me

I have been a qualified counsellor since July 2001. Prior to that I was a qualified and registered social worker for Kent County Council.
I also have a post-graduate certificate in Play Therapy skills from University College, Chichester.

Areas of interest

I work with people from the age of 16 up to mid-80s both face-to-face or by telephone; I am an integrative counsellor which means I use whichever intervention is appropriate, depending on the person's presenting problem;
I am particularly interested in areas of loss and bereavement, as I worked for some years in an adult hospice; I am also interested in current issues that are triggered by events that have happened in the past, such as childhood traumas and attachment issues.
I also deal with problems arising from stress and anxiety within the family and/or at work;
I am also interested in emotional issues related to individual's health conditions or relationship breakdowns.
