About me
Ms Lee Teak Tan is a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Oculoplastic Surgeon who practises at Southend Private Hospital in Westcliff-on-Sea and within the Mid and South Essex NHS Trust. She provides specialist care for patients with eyelid, lacrimal and orbital conditions and has particular expertise in both functional and aesthetic oculoplastic surgery.
Ms Tan completed her ophthalmology training in the Oxford Deanery, followed by oculoplastic fellowships at the Oxford Eye Hospital, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London, and Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford.
Ms Tan was awarded a Doctorate of Medicine by University College London for her research in orbital inflammatory diseases and the long-term effects of ocular inflammation.
She is actively involved in training and education, serving as the Subspecialty Tutor for Ophthalmology at Broomfield Hospital and contributing to undergraduate education on a voluntary basis at Anglia Ruskin Medical School.
