About me

A warm welcome to my profile.

I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist registered with The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and The British Psychological Society (BPS).

Having been immersed in the field of mental health for twenty years, I draw upon this rich and varied experience to help people address a range of difficulties and struggles in their life. Above all, I aspire to help people understand the distress that has led them to seek help and to facilitate moving towards living a more fulfilled life.

I am a warm, sensitive and passionate psychologist, and I value working collaboratively and respectfully with people. I place importance on holding in mind the influence and impact of challenging circumstances, both historical and current, on the nature of the difficulties people experience. I therefore explore with my clients the strength and expertise they have to guide change in their lives.

Many of the people with whom I meet identify a hope for things to be different and a wish to begin exploring this further in a safe space. I have expertise offering psychological therapy to people experiencing a range of difficulties including low mood and depression, low self-worth and self-esteem, eating disorders and negative body image, distressing and overwhelming feelings of anxiety, panic attacks, social anxiety, relational and interpersonal difficulties, phobias, obsessive-compulsive behaviours, post traumatic stress, developmental and intergenerational trauma, acute and prolonged stress, and autoimmune and physical health conditions.

As a Clinical Psychologist, I am skilled in offering a range of specialist psychological therapies and I have undertaken additional trainings upon completion of my doctorate. The approaches that I draw from include Narrative Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focussed Therapy and Compassionate Inquiry. By drawing from a range of different therapy techniques, I value being able to work integratively and to tailor the approach I use depending on your individual needs.

In recent years, my practice has developed and I now have a specialism offering psychological support to people who have received a diagnosis of an autoimmune condition(s) and physical health conditions. I therefore invite you to contact me should you be keen to access a psychological and compassionate intervention that addresses the wisdom our bodies hold.

An initial session with me would involve starting an assessment process where we would aim to come to a joint understanding of what has led you to consider therapy, alongside beginning to explore meaningful aspirations for our sessions together.

Please make contact with me to discuss how I can assist you. It would be a pleasure to support you with your therapy journey.
