About me
Sylvie is a Counselling Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). She offers therapy to individual adults aged 16+ and is trained in a number of therapeutic models. She offers a humanistic, person-centred approach to counselling and psychotherapy, and integrates elements of other approaches/techniques such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Schema-Informed Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion-Focused Therapy. She works collaboratively with her clients and tailors her approach to meet their individual needs and preferences.
Sylvie provides a warm, open and compassionate approach to her therapeutic work. She believes that the therapeutic relationship is central to the process of therapy and aims to build a safe, genuine and accepting relationship with each person that she works with. Her practice is inclusive and LGBTQIA+ affirming.
